In this captivating tale, seven mischievous children (played by adults) confront the frightening folktale of Krampus, Santa’s sinister counterpart, who has a unique way of dealing with naughty children: whipping them with branches, stuffing them into sacks, and (for the exceptionally naughty) dragging them down to hell. Though Santa and Krampus once rode together, Krampus has vanished for decades, hiding away in the Austrian Alps. Some say, as the world grows naughtier, he’s waiting for the perfect time to make his return. Though some roll their eyes at the folktale, none of the children laugh when, one by one, they begin to disappear.

NateSpoilers ahead! Krampus is the most lovably grumpy villain I've ever seen drag children to Hell! From his back pain, to aching feet, to frustration at naughty and disrespectful brats. To his moments of genuine affection for ol' St. Nick and the "good kid" in Gunther. Krampus speaks for any of us who've rolled our eyes at the commercialization of Christmas, and poor behaviors around it. But also for our inner softies, who embrace the Christian spirit of charity.

MJI was so so delighted about the character everyone was bringing, it had me engaged the whole time. The staging of the musical numbers was fantastic, ridiculous but very in keeping with the tone of the scene, and they all had a lot of visual interest. The ad libs and quips were very funny and didn't derail anything, and Edna's timing specifically was so so funny. You had absolutely phenomenal vocalists this year and I so love this music. I would say you need to do a staging where I am allowed to sing along to every song but I couldn't sing along much because I spent half the show screaming with laughter. Loved the sing along aspect of George's number and the last number, though.

After 2 years at Evermore Park, Keegan is excited to make his Angelus debut! He has also been in many productions at the SCERA Theater, some being Spamalot, Seussical, and South Pacific!

George (New York boy)
Eli is very excited to perform in their first Angelus Production with "A Krampus Karol"! Eli has also performed in Evermore Park’s 2022 Lore Season, as well as The Spectral Soirée at The Hive Collaborative.

Marissa is thrilled to be performing in her second musical at the Angelus. Some of her past roles include Cynthia ("Gideon vs the Gods of Cool", 2022), Madeleine ("The Divine"), Meg Giry ("Phantom of the Opera"), and touring with Disney Cruise Line.

Rose (Scottish girl)
Lori-ann played Scarlet in "The Lady of Sherwood" and Deborah in "Take My Death Away" at the Angelus this year. This is the most fun she's had in a show and has enjoyed playing an angry, bratty kid while challenged not to sing "pretty". Two words; SHUT IT!

Paulette (French girl)
It's that time again, when Teresa's husband writes a bio for her, because she's far to busy cleaning the theater, running youth programs, managing productions, and literally juggling 4 children. Amazingly, she hasn't dropped one yet! Also, she's hot.
Isabel Op't Hof
Sasha (Russian girl)
Isabel is thrilled to be back at the Angelus for her second time and first time in an adult production. She played Dr. Krista in the youth version of "Take My Death Away". Now she returns to the stage to unleash her rarely seen slothful and lazy side.
Stephen Gashler
Giovanni (Italian boy)
Stephen Gashler is thrilled to be playing a gluttonous Italian boy, because he gets to eat cake. That's really the only reason he created this show. That and he likes hanging out with his wife, Teresa (AKA Paulette).
Sophie Rose
Lou (English girl)
This is Sophie's 3rd musical at the Angelus, the first being "Take My Death Away" and the second "The Lady of Sherwood". Sophie also has performed at The Hive Collaborative and is excited to work on a new line of shows there soon!
