🌲 Secure your seats for the award-winning family Christmas comedy "A Krampus Karol" back for its third year at the Angelus Theatre in Spanish Fork!
In this one-of-a-kind musical thriller, the spirit of Christmas gets an offbeat in the styles of Tim Burton and Danny Elfman. Crafted by award-winning playwright and composer Stephen Gashler, this enchanting comedy has swiftly become a beloved holiday tradition and is back for its third year, now with even more surprises and laughter. Winner of “Best Music” and two-times winner of “Best Production”, “A Krampus Karol” is your golden ticket to a Christmas experience that’s anything but ordinary.
In this captivating tale, seven mischievous children (played by adults) confront the frightening folktale of Krampus, Santa’s sinister counterpart, who has a unique way of dealing with naughty children: whipping them with branches, stuffing them into sacks, and (for the exceptionally naughty) dragging them down to hell. Though Santa and Krampus once rode together, Krampus has vanished for decades, hiding away in the Austrian Alps. Some say, as the world grows naughtier, he’s waiting for the perfect time to make his return. Though some roll their eyes at the folktale, none of the children laugh when, one by one, they begin to disappear.
“A Krampus Karol” is a thrilling and humorous musical journey that combines holiday cheer with a dash of spookiness and plenty of heart-warming moments, a must-see for the entire family. Don’t miss your chance to experience this delightful and unique Christmas spectacle at the Angelus Theatre.

All around Christmas fun. A new "classic" with traditional vibesBenji
Songs were funny and witty, actors were all in on the performance. Really good jobNate
Spoilers ahead! Krampus is the most lovably grumpy villain I've ever seen drag children to Hell! From his back pain, to aching feet, to frustration at naughty and disrespectful brats. To his moments of genuine affection for ol' St. Nick and the "good kid" in Gunther. Krampus speaks for any of us who've rolled our eyes at the commercialization of Christmas, and poor behaviors around it. But also for our inner softies, who embrace the Christian spirit of charity.Amir

I really enjoyed the music, story, and pacing of the first half of the playMJ
I was so so delighted about the character everyone was bringing, it had me engaged the whole time. The staging of the musical numbers was fantastic, ridiculous but very in keeping with the tone of the scene, and they all had a lot of visual interest. The ad libs and quips were very funny and didn't derail anything, and Edna's timing specifically was so so funny. You had absolutely phenomenal vocalists this year and I so love this music. I would say you need to do a staging where I am allowed to sing along to every song but I couldn't sing along much because I spent half the show screaming with laughter. Loved the sing along aspect of George's number and the last number, though.Jen R
The popcorn was really exquisite sometimesAriah Gashler

The comedic timing in this show was so delightful. Lots of funny beats. The Santa exit music was incredibly funny, I think I ugly laughed every time it played. I also particularly appreciated the choreography, and how the kids who had been taken came out to dance but were wearing bags. Overall, very well staged, there were a lot of really satisfying visual moments, like the Krampus carol at the end, the bridge of Justice to the Wicked, Sasha throwing Giovanni's doll at the other kids, loved itJenna R.

5/5! I saw it on 12-14 and loved it, very funny and upbeat..I’d recommend it.Cameron Morgan
I was pleasantly surprised and humored with the satire that flipped the vilification of the old, German, legend of Krampus. Comedy cures! Moreover, the singing, dancing, dialogue, and acting were top notch! Two thumbs way up.Curt Gordon
Better than I expected. This show is a lot of fun. The songs are entertaining. It is my favorite Great Hall production yet.Chantel G
The music was awesome, and the actors did a great job adding to the scariness of Krampus.Jade Higley
