A New Musical Comedy by Stephen & Teresa Gashler Mar 15 - 28, 2025, Angelus Theatre, Spanish Fork
Get ready to experience a hilariously chaotic twist on a beloved classic with "The Phantom Breaks the Opera"! This uproarious musical comedy masterfully blends the eerie charm of Gaston Leroux's "The Phantom of the Opera" with the side-splitting misadventures of live theatre, where Murphy's Law takes center stage. When the masked ghost of the opera meets an accident-prone cast, prepare for a night of spectacular mishaps, unforgettable melodies, and belly laughs that will have you rolling in the aisles. "The Phantom Breaks the Opera" is a dazzling disaster you won't want to miss! ðŸŽðŸŽ¶âœ¨

Took my 7 year old. Had the time of her life.Katherine White
We took all 6 of our kids ages 16-4 to it last night. Hilarious! All my kids were laughing. There was never one time I got concerned over content. The play was a little long for the younger twos attention span, but overall a great time. Totally worth the 2 hour drive to get there!Miranda Williams
The set was amazing! The music was catchy and the costumes were pretty. The script was chaotically fun. All members did a fantastic job singing. I liked seeing both casts because both did different things or delivered lines and songs in different ways that I enjoyed watching.Elizabeth Adams
The writing was fantastic, as was the music! The lead actors are very talented! Friendly staff. Good concessions.Marci Haines
I loved this show so much! It was fun, exciting, and the acting was incredible! The music was well-written, too!Tina Y.
Loved the Chaos and not knowing what would happen next.Jared Fawcett
The actors seems like they were having a lot of fun.Ede L.
It was so funny! The comedic timing was excellent and the singing was so good! I love the back stage conversations (as someone who has done theater, I thought it was so funny) and how they were played on stage as well. It was very interactive it felt like you were apart of the show. So funny very well done.B. H.
I saw it last night, it was so fun! We loved it!Tina Nielsen Yeagley
We had a great time! So funny!Lee Ann Layton Setzer

I actually wondered if Christine forgot her lines because she did such a good job acting like she did!Laura C
I enjoyed the screw ball comedy aspect. I was laughing through the entire thing. Thank you for actually having actors who could sing.S. P.

Fun unique experience. Worth the drive it was cute and corny. My wife loves everything phantom and it was a purely different take.Taylor Wayne
I loved the theater area. The ceiling art is amazing. I loved the cast and their chemistry.Haley Sawyer
It was an interesting take on the story and many unexpected events.D. Taylor
It was enjoyable. My son loved it.Janita Miller
Acting was fun and exhilaratingJean C.
The popcorn was delicious, and the experience overall was fun. There were a few well-delivered jokes. At one point the lights went out for what felt like a little too long and I'm still not sure whether that was scripted or not but Erik's "it's okay things are supposed to go wrong in this show" from the darkness was pretty funny.Lydia Z.
It was extremely fun and creative, definitely the best way to spend my weekend.Kylie E.
I loved the silliness of the play.Kalynne Wise
The idea of the show was a good idea. The best song was probably I am your handsome prince it was pretty good.D. A.
Great story: I love how it skillfully parodied both the phantom story and the chaotic experience of putting on a play generally. In addition to the comedy, having the stage director be the central hero would easily endear this to any drama teacher. I could see this easily playing as a new local favorite in every high school in the state and beyond.Paul Johnson
Christine was astounding, and the acting was top tier!Zara Hanigan
I was amazed by how well Loriann did with those high notes.Taylor Hyde
So funny and so many unexpected things happening.Jimmie Ivie
I enjoyed the writing and humor.Lisa K.
I was so glad to see a production that went smoothly because of the acting and crew elements (I am used to seeing middle school productions for reference). The microphones were great, lighting was great and it was fun that it was included as part of some of the gags in the play. The actors were high quality and I wasn’t taken out of the experience because someone for got their lines etc. Great job everyone!Sarah Christensen
Was absolutely epic totally worth itTwlight Welch
Show was great!!! Children behind me with unending commentary the entire first act not so much. 😞Lisa Estrada
Took the whole family last night... It was so good! Absolutely historical and full of twists. Highly recommend!Alton Alexander
We couldn't stop laughing! Every thing that irritated me about the book and the music was called out! So funny. For your mental health, this is a definite see. So funny!Kristy Burtenshawl
Watched this play on opening day. It was hilarious. The 4th wall breaks were really fun, and original. Laughed way more throughout the play than I had imagined. Great performance.William Sanchez
Just saw opening matinee, very fun.Melanie DeLange
This place is so much fun. Loved the show. We'll be back.Nedra Swasey
